She Remembers Everything

My Rating: 4/5 Review: I was intigued by the plot: A young woman with a eidetic (photographic) memory witnesses a murder and ends up having to change her identity to escape the Russian mafia. It was very good for the most part, though a little hoaky at times. It was a a light read compared to the other series by a different author I've been reading, which would explain the 4 stars. Sometimes you need a little fluff in between the darkness. Ramona Was Better

My Rating: 3.5/5 Review: My son and I enjoyed this book, but not quite as much as the Ramona books by Beverly Cleary. Still, I think we will have fun continuing the series. I love it when we laugh-out-loud together while reading a book. Book Description: Life with his little brother, Fudge, makes Peter Hatcher feel like a fourth grade nothing. Whether Fudge is throwing a temper tantrum in a shoe store, smearing mashed potatoes on the walls at Hamburger Heaven, or trying to fly, he’s never far from trouble. He’s an almost three-year-old terror who gets away with everything, and Peter’s had it up to here! When Fudge walks off with Dribble, Peter’s pet turtle, it’s the last straw. Peter has put up with Fudge for too long. Way too long! How can he get his parents to pay attention to him for a change?

My Rating: 4/5 Review: One word: Astonishing! So many crazy, unexpected things happened in this book my head is spinning. The very end was the most amazing of all. I am completely flabbergasted. Fantastic Mr. Fox

My Rating: 4/5 Review: My son and I enjoyed reading this fun little book together. There were some great laugh-out-loud moments. Book Description: This early Roald Dahl adventure is great for reading aloud to three- to seven-year-olds, who will be delighted to hear that Mr. Fox keeps his family one step ahead of the obsessed farmers. When they try to dig him out, he digs faster; when they lay siege to his den, he tunnels to where the farmers least expect him--their own larders! In the end, Mr. Fox not only survives, but also helps the whole community of burrowing creatures live happily ever after. With his usual flourish, Dahl evokes a magical animal world that, as children, we always knew existed, had we only known where or how to look for it.
