Healing hands

My Rating: 4/5 Review: This was a just a fast-paced, easy read. Nothing too spectacular, just good entertainment and fun characters. Book Description: Laying hands upon the injured and dying, Avry of Kazan absorbs their wounds and diseases into herself. But rather than being honored for her skills, she is hunted. Healers like Avry are accused of spreading the plague that has decimated the Fifteen Realms, leaving the survivors in a state of chaos. Stressed and tired from hiding, Avry is abducted by a band of rogues who, shockingly, value her gift above the golden bounty offered for her capture. Their leader, an enigmatic captor-protector with powers of his own, is unequivocal in his demands: Avry must heal a plague-stricken prince—leader of a campaign against her people. As they traverse the daunting Nine Mountains, beset by mercenaries and magical dangers, Avry must decide who is worth healing and what is worth dying for. Because the price of peace may well be her life...

Pussycat Pussycat Kill Kill

My Rating: 5/5

Review: This is the fourth book in the Jane Yellowrock series, and the best so far in my opinion. Jane is back in her Appalachian home, hired to protect vamps during a parley. Naturally bad things happen, and plenty of action and intensity ensue. Weres out killing people and trying to turn witches, friends in danger, a powerful witch wreaking havoc, and complicated relationships. That's just some of the things you'll find in this novel. I was so frustrated whenever I didn't have the time to sit down and read. I'm definitely looking forward to the next in the series.

Book Description: The vampires of Asheville, North Carolina, want to establish their own clan, but since they owe loyalty to the Master Vampire of New Orleans they must work out the terms with him. To come up with an equitable solution, he sends an envoy with the best bodyguard blood money can buy: Jane Yellowrock.

But when a group of local campers are attacked by something fanged, Jane goes from escort to investigator. Unless she wants to face a very angry mast vampire, she will have to work overtime to find the killer. It's a good thing she's worth every penny.
